$750 COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE FOR HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS
Application Deadline: March 1, 2012
Applicants for the Taylor Ranch Neighborhood Association’s $750 college scholarship must meet all four of the following criteria:
- Reside within the boundaries of the Association (north/south boundaries: Paseo del Norte and Western Trail; east/west boundaries: the river (Rio Grande) and the Escarpment);
- Submit a completed Scholarship Application form and two (2) letters of recommendation, postmarked no later than March 1, 2012, to Scholarship Committee, Taylor Ranch Neighborhood Association, P.O. Box 66288, Albuquerque, NM 87193-6288
- Demonstrate community involvement and service through school-wide and extracurricular activities, and/or other service organizations; and
- Enroll at a college, university, or post-secondary school for Fall 2012.
Scholarship awards will be presented to the school business office or bookstore of the selected students’ choice. Please note that late applications will not be accepted.

WALMART SUPERCENTER AT COORS AND MONTAÑO
EPC Meeting will be continued on March 15th: Public comment on the Amended Development Plan for Subdivision and Site Development Plan for Building Permit will be continued at the March 15th EPC Meeting, starting at 8:30 am at the City council Chambers..
The public can mail or email comments to the EPC prior to this meeting as well as present new issues at the meeting. The email address for comments is clehner or mtafoya ; you may also copy the mayor .

TRNA EASTER EGG HUNT APRIL 7TH
The annual TRNA Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday, April 7th, at Mariposa Basin Park. Volunteers are needed. If you'd like to help, please email social commitee. We will need help in filling about 5,000 Easter Eggs with candy, coupons, etc. Here's your chance to help put on a fun event for the children of Taylor Ranch.
Mariposa Park Clean-up Schedule
Thanks to Cub Scouts Pack 121 for taking on the project of cleaning Mariposa Basin Park on Saturday mornings, usually the 2nd Saturday of the month. The park has never looked better! They would appreciate drop-in help whenever your schedule permits.
Here is the tentative schedule for 2012:
Mar 10th: 10:00 am to 11:00 am
April 14th: 10:00 am to 11:00 am
May 12th: 10:00 am to 11:00 am
June 16th (3rd Sat): 8:30 am - 9:30 am
July 14th: 8:30 am - 9:30 am
Aug. 11th: 8:30 am - 9:30 am
Sept. 8th: 8:30 am - 9:30 am
Oct. 13th:8:30 am - 9:30 am
Nov 10th: 10:00 am to 11:00 am
Probably no cleanup in December and January.

LAND USE EVENTS
- Walmart: EPC Hearing on the Walmart SuperCenter proposed for the SE corner of Coors Blvd. and Montaño Continued to March 15th at 8:30 am at the City Council Chambers. . It is very important that all concerned residents attend this meeting. See news items above for more information. Thanks to all those who wrote letters and participated in the earlier meetings. There are a lot of concerned citizens working on this issue and everyone's support is greatly appreciated.
- City Council Redistricting Meeting: February 22nd at 5:00 pm in the City Council Chambers to discuss redistricting map L. This map divides Taylor Ranch in half, mostly along Montano.
